hi guys!

I just came back from my first reservist training (phew!). Suddenly have this weird thought: Why is it that most officers and key appointment holders are people who do well in their real life jobs?

Anyone out there whose's ICT boss is your subordinate in real life? :)

Some employers upon knowing that you were an ex-officer, ex-commando... will give you more opportunities to perform. Even if you make very serious mistakes, they will also cover up for you.
I had this experience. I wasn't part of the elite or an officer. But somehow, my employer has this liking for such ppl and gave them opportunities to perform with the thought that only they can do it. I'm more than competent to do it and asked to do it, but they refuse to let me do it. Maybe, I should have just lied at the beginning and said I was an officer or part of the elite??
