It's something you have to live with. But you have to be extra careful not to drop your bar of soap, then bend down and pick it up...hahaha

There are NS men who are shy about their privates. They bathe with their underwear on.

I remembered once...due to some circumstances (the instructor obviously) 36 squad members had to finish showering in 5mins... It was a mad rush...very ugly...4-5pple sharing a shower head...bodies close to each other...if you change 18guys into 18girls...youhave japanese style orgy taking place right there... I was one of them.

It happens almost everywhere, pariah. its just when there is not time got to rush most of the time should be relatively safe and not much problem. But i find it strange there is someone in my camp whom hmmm i dunnoe whether it went for sex ops yet. Lucky for us it was not stay in if not the alert level for bathing sure go highest level.

I had to bathe naked with other guys in boarding school. I tried not to look down. So when came to NS, I'm used to bathing with other guys. Anyway, just go in, shower, dry yourself and leave. I think after that have night snack.

Some people just think too much... I am not as old as Ellsworth, but during my time, before I got enlisted, people tell me ghost stories of the camps as well as other "issues" like having to bathe fast and with others.

When I am in BMT, everyday was so tiring, where got time to think of such things! Even if there is a big white mushmallow man walking around outside my bunk, I will be too tired to notice! Go bathing is even more straightforward, go in, bath, come out. Where got time or effort to bother. All are guys mah!

this is rather interesting. but I think people make too big a deal about it all. maybe it's because I was from an all-boys school so I'm more 'jaded'. in secondary 1 during our 2-day orientation camp, we had to bathe together in the communal shower and while some found it a little weird at first, you realise it's really nothing. or at swimming pools where there are no cubicles.

it isn't really a big deal unless you make it out to be so. after all, since we're of the same gender, I have what you have; so there's nothing to it. I guess it's the same with changing, I know of some guy friends (I'm in JC now) who insist on changing in the cubicles instead of just doing it in the common toilet area.

I personally never encounted this problem before in my life...
being naked with a bunch of naked guys w/o any girls around is enough to turn any decent guy off...
so unless your gay or you have one heck of a problem controlling yourself, you won't run into such problems...
at any rate, you'll get used to bathing in such a situation (if your not used to it in the first place...) after 1 or 2 days...

cure for it?
try cold water?
or you should start training yourself by going to public swimming pools to bath...

it's better then having a guy who is so shy he baths only after 'lights out'...
imagine after a hard day of PT... you have to endure around a hour of weird smell from him...
then when you're trying to sleep... he does his 'pre-bathing' and 'post-bathing' stuff in the bunk...

they say you meet all kinds of people in army...

Yeah it takes all kinds. Some dont bathe,just powder bath( save water 4 army).Big bird small bird,big butt small butt,big tummy no tummy,some sing while bathing to overcome shyness,some chat while bathing,some compare sizes while bathing,but one good thing did come out of all this - it bonded them to work 2gather.

so if a girl were 2 sign on and do her bmt with other girls who sign on, im sure they will bath in the same manner as the guys do. just bcos they r different gender doesn't mean the saf should make exceptions 4 them

my PS was a female and her 'bathroom' had doors...

fyi theres a woman's chapter in spore detailing exceptions regarding woman-related crimes or something...
and there are no man's chapter:D

Honestly, one cant get 'backstabbed' unless, the predator already has a hard on...

I remember early in my army dayz, when everyone all shag liao, nobody bother's about ur lil brudder or who has a mighty tight **** or what not; but later on, we even made fun of each other loads! LOL...My communal washroom had this hose that we love to turn on to 'spray the competition' especially right in between the __________ :D

Some of my mates even use other 'tools' like shampoo bottles, face wash bottles, mops etc to swan one another, all in good fun of course..

It really depends on what you're comfortable with, most people will respect ur wishes, ahem preferences, or entertain any urm tendencies one may have or acquire whilst in the army. Its usually all in good fun anywaes....

All i can say is, those were the dayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :cool:

urs 7 weeks, mine for 2 yr 2 mth. from the day we enlist till the day we ORD. coz im mono intake into CDO. but see long oso sian liao. we even fool ard in the toilet everytime.

liquid soap bottle dropped how.....same lar...still got to bend mah :eek: :eek: sp best is get those Panda Brand soap bar, the yellow color ones...i think it's about 1 metre long. so can use as weapon. :D

If not careful then ur *ahem* weapon can also be used against you!
But my washroom got no shelf on the side to put the liquid soap, so I had to put it on the ground... everytime dispense must still bend down....basically have to get used to seeing people bending down all the time lah.. no harm right? Bend then bend la, and if happen to poke, just say sorry lorrrr. Anw, after 2 yrs 2 mths, you won't mind fulling around a bit. Can be quite fun too you know

Army is already quite sianz, and stressful too, whats a lil fun between buddies riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite? :cool:

Erhermm...once you get to know all your squadmate...you can be personally ensured that no one among you is a "backstabber". I got a fren who still uses bar soap...dropped a few times in front of me and some pals....we just laughed and say "woah!"....we still fool ard without worrying abt that.

I belong to the "open concept" when it comes to bathing during BMT at Nee Soon Camp...but now I heard in Tekong, the toilets come with shower cubicles...more privacy for recruits I guess..

When you are in the SAF (be it Army, Navy or Airforce).... it does not matter when you are bathing with other guys because after a hard day at training, you just want to get your shower and get to bed. You wont even bother about looking at others.

There is nothing embarassing or to be shy about. We are doing national service here, not going for some sort of competition to show off our *assets*.

Personally, i am not sure about the rest of the guys but you wont really bother about such things when you are in the service, unless that person likes the same gender, we might have a problem there.

So far there has not been any reports on such issues. :)

at the end of the day, no one will really care abt the assets. Open cubicles at least that if u r nt comfortable with it, u can always go to those end cubicles, so that at least no one can see ur assets

bathing or showering is a pretty quick and straightforward thing mah. just lather, rinse and repeat.

After a while, I get those dudes who can't be bothered and even soap themselves outside the cubicle in full view of everyone who walk into the toilet.

Outfield toilet pretty cool, foreign country outfield toilet even more solid.

I remember doing my toilet on top of a nice ridge in Thailand over looking rice fields.
