Default Deserve to win; but won't top the tables this season

Not writing these as a troll.

Respectfully, Vettel won't be able to beat Jenson in the Championship table. I like this young and upcoming "playa" (competitor) and like some of the posters here, feel that Jenson had a great start to this season that created the momentum that carried him to the end.

Vettel at 74pts against Jenson's 89pts, for Jenson to win (top) this season is a certainty. However, some posters here don't seem to understand that from the comments made. Even if Vettel won first in the last GP of this year (in Brazil) and get 10 pts (to make it to 84pts), this Teutonic (Germanic) knight of the tracks won't be able to cover the points-lead that Jenson built up.

Moreover, if Vettel is not careful for this remaining race, Barrichello might pip Vettel to the number 2 placing in the overall standings.

For those who are not really interested in F1, but just to win the watch, I would like to share a few basics:

Since 2003–present:
1st place winner gets: 10pts
2nd place gets: 8 pts
3rd place: 6 pts
4th place: 5pts
5th place: 4pts
6th place: 3 pts
7th place: 2 pts
8th place: 1 pts

Besides the Driver championship standing. There's also the Constructor championship where the various "houses" (teams) competes to see who's the best that season. Current leader is Jenson's team Brawn-Mercedes, with Vettel's Redbull-Renault in 2nd position.

Thank for reading.

Absolutely. Born with the natural gift of coping well in speed, precision and endurance. He has proven his talent and excelled with several good performances over the past 2 years. With his dedication to Red Bull and the narrowing of the technology gaps between the F1 teams, it is a just matter of time before he gets crowned as the new F1 drivers champion.

Sebastian Vettel deserves to win Formula 1 2009. He is young, steady, straegic, cool and calm. In the midst of great pressure from very seasoned competitors, he gave his best. Vettel deserves to be the Grand Prix Champion because he made the Grand Prix impressive to watch.

Despite the controversy and scandals that has rocked F1 this season, Sebastian Vettel is one of those drivers that still remind us of what true racing is all about.
He embodies what formula 1 really needs, a bright injection of youth. A hero that we all can respect and love. I guess the closest comparison to Vettel at this stage would be Lewis Hamilton. But remember, Hamilton's career was born with a literal "silver spoon" in its mouth. For a rookie to go to a top tier team and to perform, well to me it is a case of "so what, he had a good car". But for Vettel, it is a different story. On his debut he scored points at the canadian GP after replacing Kubica. In his first season with Scuderia Torro Rosso, he managed to snag their first win at the Italian GP at Monza, as a result beating not only their sister team Red Bull but also the championship leaders of Ferrari and Mclaren.
At the start of this season, Vettel did something that truly impressed me. At the Australian GP he had an incident with Kubica, taking both cars out. He actually went and apologized to the team principal of BMW Sauber team for causing the accident. We don't see that kind of humility and decency from the drivers in the field of late.
Off the track at TV interviews, he's like a kid, lovable and with no airs about him. Often he's been called the next Schumacher. To me he has the potential, but he has his own style and character, which is hard to hate.
All in all, why I think he deserves to win? He isn't arrogant, he worked hard to get where he is. He shows the humanity in such a clinical sport, and that he is a hero that we'd all love, respect and want to see win.
GOOD LUCK NEXT SEASON SEB

Default YES! Sebastian Vettel deserves to win Formula 1 2009!

He is one of those drivers who does not need to serve an apprenticeship in grand prix racing. He is blindingly fast from the start, and his speed, matched by his early results, conferred an authority that outweighed his inexperience.

However, I was disappointed to see his remote title hopes evaporate in the Brazilian Grand Prix, but I felt that he had achieved as much as he could by charging from 15th on the grid to fourth!!

He has done himself proud and i still think he deserves the title!! GOOO RED BULL!
