Lightbulb Collecting fingernails since 1986 - why do people do this?

Mike Muk, 41, shared his 20-year-old fingernail collection with us. The RSAF personnel also told us how the collection started and why some of the nails are stained red ...

"It started when I just joined the RSAF and was staying in-camp alone. There was no dustbin in the bunk. So I cut my nails into a TicTac box.

I decided to see how long I could hold on to this collection. After a few months I would transfer them into a slightly bigger bottle. Whenever I travel overseas I'll keep my nails and will top up the main bottle on my return.

The red-stained nails are actually my wife's contributions. But she doesn't contribute very often. Most of the time she just throws hers away unless I catch her cutting her nails.

A few years ago I transferred them into this present 250ml 'Birds' nest drink' bottle.

Time flies - it has been 20 years now.

This is my trusty old nail cutter and a common temporary storage (film bottle)

It's a pretty weird collection. Right?"

What do you think of Mike's collection? Do you have weirder collections to share?

Smile Hmm..Interesting..

haha..well, its kinda amusing that a person can have such a weird hobby of collecting fingernails..i seriously think that this should be included in the world's records..but, if you take health conditions in consideration, its not good keep your fingernails...fingernails has many bacteria hidden in it..by having such a hobby, you are just encouraging the growth of bacteria..but it wouldn't be of a problem if you wash your hands regularly...
