Mike Muk, 41, shared his 20-year-old fingernail collection with us. The RSAF personnel also told us how the collection started and why some of the nails are stained red ...
"It started when I just joined the RSAF and was staying in-camp alone. There was no dustbin in the bunk. So I cut my nails into a TicTac box.
I decided to see how long I could hold on to this collection. After a few months I would transfer them into a slightly bigger bottle. Whenever I travel overseas I'll keep my nails and will top up the main bottle on my return.
The red-stained nails are actually my wife's contributions. But she doesn't contribute very often. Most of the time she just throws hers away unless I catch her cutting her nails.
A few years ago I transferred them into this present 250ml 'Birds' nest drink' bottle.
Time flies - it has been 20 years now.
This is my trusty old nail cutter and a common temporary storage (film bottle)
It's a pretty weird collection. Right?"
What do you think of Mike's collection? Do you have weirder collections to share?
