On SingFest:

SingFest is a two-day music extravaganza to be held over the National Day Holidays on 8-9 August 2007. It will see top music artistes from all over the world take centrestage in Singapore for the first time.

Acts for the first day include Pet Shop Boys, the Stranglers, Cyndi Lauper, Sugar Ray, Shaggy and Sasha Bach Band and will run from 5-11pm. On the second day, Gym Class Heroes, Avenged SevenFold, Hinder, Crowned King, MXPX, The Academy Is..., The Noisettes and Cobra Starship will play from 1pm-11pm. Eye Candy Twins from UK will spin in between the one hour sets.

Special Passes at $200 for both days are made available from now till the 1 August. One-day passes cost $150 from now till 1 August, $175 between 2-7 August and at the door for $200. Tickets are sold via all SISTIC outlets or online via www.sistic.com.sg.

Which band I would like to see? It's SHAGGY!!! I like the way he moves when he sings, the way he sing is so unique than the other singers that I've known & his songs that makes me move with the go with the flow! Do you know what I mean? Ha! Ha! Dying to see him singing LIVE in concert! ARGH!!!

The band that I want to see so badly is HINDER.

Because they made me weep like a widow, and brought me to a euphoric high when I listen to their songs over the radio. So, I wanna see them "live" and flash my boobs as a show of appreciation!

I badly wanna see them "live" because I wanna immerse myself in the overwhelming emotions they made me feel with their songs.

It was the music from sugar ray that brought me and my girlfriend together and i hope to have the the chance to go with her to singfest.

Isn't it pretty obvious which band I would badly and desperately want to see?

Definitely Avenged Sevenfold!!


One of the greatest and the most rocking band I have ever seen. Whenever I see their LIVE performances on TV or on the net, I totally mark for them. Who wouldn't? I have their t-shirts, dvds of their live performances and all of their albums to prove I am a A7X fan forever. Actually "fan" would be really an understatement. I'm more than a fan when it comes to thier performance. Cuz unlike others, I eat, sleep and breathe Avenged Sevenfold. My all time favourite song will be Unholy Confessions and I am anxiously awaiting their presence to perform that song live on the stage! I would really love to get a chance to see them live for the very first time. I wont be able to afford overseas performances unless I am financially stable but since they are coming over to Singapore, I would be a fool to miss the chance. The place will just be electrified like nothing else ever seen in the world. When Avenged Sevenfold performs they are just gonna send me bone chilling moments and that is something I wont be able to forget for a long long time to come. All A7X fans will simply be going through an adrenaline rush! Instead of blood oozing all over, the fans will ooze their support throughout the environment! Last but not least, Avenged Sevenfold is definitely gonna steal the entire show like they always do at all their performances.

I want to see Cindy Lauper.

When I was young (about 4), my grandpa used to hum "true colors" every single time I got scolded by my parents and ran to him crying (it's one of the only english songs he knew and understood the lyrics). It was always soothing to hear the melody and listened to him explaining every word I didn't understand and what the song meant, back then all the english I knew was "yes" and "no".

My grandpa passed away close to 7 years ago; and recently that song has been used in some advertisements on TV - and that brings back a lot of fond memories. I wonder how it'll be like to see Cindy Lauper perform live, it's going to be great I reckon

I really hope I could win this, though I'm really not that sure if Cindy Lauper is the "band" you mean..

Why? I fell in love with Sugar Ray because of their song "Fly".

I also enjoy their song, "Every Morning".

Both songs were #1 hits and were both played heavily on radio stations everywhere.

I like Sugar Ray because the band represent something very rare in the music scene.

Sugar Ray has created a niche for music fans who enjoy a little bit of hip hop, light-hearted, harmless pop and at the same time,for true heavy alternative/punk/metal rock fans at heart.
