We will see you at the movies on August 29, 7pm.

Please bring along your I/Cs on that day for verification.

SPH supports the international movement to fight global warming by sponsoring the premiere screening of the movie which also highlights the plight of wildlife such as the polar bear and the walrus in the meltdown of icecaps.

SPH's main charitable arm, the SPH Foundation, also supports wildlife conservation programmes at the Singapore Zoo, Sungie Buloh Wetland Reserve, Jurong BirdPark and Acres wildlife rescue centre.

We thank partners SPH Corporate Communications, Festive Films and Golden Village.

Check out the preview of Nanu, the polar bear cub, and Seela, the young walrus, in STOMPcast.

Energy conservation is the practice of decreasing the quantity of energy used while achieving a similar outcome. This practice may result in increase of financial capital, environmental value, national security, personal security, and human comfort.
By reducing emissions, energy conservation is an important part of lessening climate change. Energy conservation facilitates the replacement of non-renewable resources with renewable energy. Energy conservation is often the most economical solution to energy shortages, and is a more environmentally benign alternative to increased energy production.
So, I think that industrials should use "filters" which filter out harmful substances like carbon monoxide and chemically change it into carbon dioxide and oxygen. Each day, as our planet Earth is dying, the martians are laughing at us. Fight back. Fight back we must. We must prove to them that our little planet Earth can survive.
SO CONSERVE ENERGY!!!

Cycle and walk to yr location whenever possible,

Switch off any electric appliance when no one is using it.

Try to exercise in yr own local area(not to drive to any parks or places to exercise , it will not only contribute to greenhouse emissions but will also result in the wastage of energy.)Cos in most cases , the vehicle will burn more calories than you do.

Always weight the environment choices tht you have.ie beware of hidden environmental damaging problems ( one great example raised by a radio program i heard , do not drive miles to reach a supermarket just to purchase recycled products , cos the green benefits tht you make frm tht recycled paper will in most cases be less in comparison to the environmental damage you perform by driving.

Try to conserve the consumption of water to a minimum by filling a pail of water and using it to bathe instead of wasting water by letting the water flow.

Talking

Do not smoke and quit soon as possible.
Polar bears are not be able to take it as there are more heat that melt the ice in the polar regions that polar bears might not like to survive!

smoking is nothing. Without smoking, there's will be at least something to do for those cute bears! For burning and vehicles, we likely have no choice.
But smoking is the stupidest thing to act cool and release stress and even to show some face to his/her friends that they are not chicken.

AM I RIGHT? hahaha
