Angry Be Aware :sybase365

I have the similar encounter. The way this business is conducted is really un......
What I can recalled was that I wanted to unsubscribe to a service send to me via SMS from no 72233. Unknowingly, this activated the service. I ignored all the subsequent SMSs from this no. In fact, I found it nuisance when I received the unsolicited SMSs and there was no way I can do about it except to ignore it.
When I received my bill recently, I realized I was charged for each SMS received; something I did not ask for and definitely something I did not want- from sybase365. I managed to terminate this subscription through this phone number 65713999. I believe your service provider should be able to help you. If not, switch to other provider.
I have also written to ask for refund but I have not received any reply yet.

I took part in this sms contest where i was subsequently sent a message that indicated that in taking part via sms, it would be a $4 charge per sms. Upon reading that, i didn't even bother to reply at all. However, i kept recieveing smses from them. Each time with a different question. Well, my understanding then was as long as i don't reply, i wouldn't be taking part and i won't be charged.

However, when i got my billing this month, i found that i was charged for 3 smses at $4 each. I found it ridiculous that i was charged when i didn't even reply back. Can they do that? So does that mean it allows the sms vendor to send me 10 smses a day and charge me accordingly? Anyway, they would probably state that its in the terms and conditions upon signing up. I am not even planning to deny the charges that's already been charged to me, i just want to get it terminated.

So, i've called the customer service number many times and was put on hold everytime. Eventually i gave up and i called the main line. The receptionist was exceptionally rude. Not only did she not hear me to explain that there's no point in transfering me, as i just want to know how can i terminate the service. At this point, she transfered me, to their Hong Kong Office! It wasn't even the customer service line as the lady didn't know why my call was transfered to Hong Kong. I called back the main line to tell her to stop transferring me, and questioned why did she transfer the call overseas and if it was a mistake. She insisted it was the customer service line and didn't even apologise and transfered the call abruptly again. Of which of course, i was put on hold again.

Now, I don't know how else to go about this getting this terminated. Dont' even know if it will help even if i wrote in to the forum.

Does anyone have similar experience with this vendor Sybase365?

thanks

Angry Gimmicks with Sybase365

--- I have similar experience too!!!
This mth when I received my mobile bill, I saw an extra charge of $36(for total number of 9 access) for Value Added Service by Sybase 365.
I immediately called up the Tel: 6571 3999. No one pick up the call, & then I left my voice message for them to ring my mobile. No one call back. I try calling the main line for several times since last wk. Finally today I spoke with someone there.

Her name is Sarah. I told her my issue. And she says that any messages sent and/or receive by me will be charged. It started with anyone who clicks on one of the links in the web and inputted our mobile number. Then, their system will trigger off an sms for us for confirmation to receive future messages. With that, it will start the bill going on our mobile number.

I told her this is not fair, I even replied to 72233 to Stop this service in the very beginning but it has not stop. She said she will terminate this service for me and will charge me 50% off all the bills that I am/will be charged. I asked for full waival. She said can't and that is the best she can do. I intend to write in to their customer service email for the refund or waival.
Please do sthe same for all of you out there that are affected by this.

Their email is customercare@sg.mobile365

Just simply refuse to pay Singtel.
If anything, ask Singtel to get sybase to prove to you that you agreed to their SMS service.

Singtel is supposed to help you mediate the issue.
1) Call them immediately to tell them that you dispute that charge, and you REFUSE to pay that charge. IDA has regulations that forces the telcos to suspend that charge till investigations clear it up.
2) Only stupid people will agree to a partial waiver. If you don't pay, they can't do anything.
3) Launch police report against Singtel and Sybase for commercial fraud.
