Default Parents now hogging seats at fast-food joints

Resident Stomper Mike Muk sent in these two snaps and the following email to STOMP:

Just when you thought that students hogging seats at fast food to study were irritating...
Lately, I've noticed this disturbing new trend...Parents studying with their children at fast food restaurants.
Parents hogging the place and are actually coaching their kids there..
Are fast food sure great place to study ?
Or are their house leaking..?

Mike took these snaps on two separate dates, 7 September and 30 September, showing the same parent and kid team having a study session at Khatib Central's McDonalds outlet.

it's fine with me.. maybe the parent thinks going to mac to study is a form of motivation for the child..perhaps he gets to eat his fav happy meal after completing his homework...

Thats a good idea. But parents and kids studying together? Haha maybe its a new trend indeed. Not a fan of fast food places, but on the occasion I go in one, its normally sec/jc kids studying! Maybe its his tutor?

The haze is partly to blame and probably children cannot concentrate without fresh air at home....

I'm neutral on this issue as long as it Mac D management allows it, no point of pursuing this matter, its a change of enviroment i guess, cud be to stressfull to coach at home due to other factor, furthermore its cooling in Mac D. Seen many insurance agent make fast food outlet as their temp office too...

it`s normal i guess. easy, you can eat food that you like without cooking, just money, free air con, and somemore free "sweeping ups" if you drop anything on the floor. maybe an environment change? Mac is like a popular place to study(alternative), since the library`s forever full.
