Default Another maid just plunged 12 storeys to her death!

I know there are existing threads about this issue but really!

Yesterday, another maid just plunged to her death. Don't employers ever learn? I mean, come on! Cleaning that speck of dust in the corner of that window surely isn't worth loss of lives!

Me thinks the laws in Singapore about this are too lax!

I think it needs more compromise between the maids and the owners.

Not only have cases of owners abusing maids but there is the other way round too!

lol if such cases still occur, why not implement a fine on those spotted with maids cleaning windows in a life-risking manner? or even better, those living in hdb flats cannot employ maid, except 1st and 2nd storey, then no more maid plunged to death cases liao!

Employers should learn to view their maids as actual flesh-and-blood people. They should get the mindset that they are only human; and before setting the maid a task, they should ask themselves: would I do this? would I attempt this? or will I think it is too dangerous? etc.
