Definitely Ice Kachang. Durian or Mango flavoured would be nice too!

Oh who said there's no kacang in ice kacang? kacang also means beans and it refers to the kacang merah or red beans that truly defines the original ice kacang, among many other ingredients like corn, jelly n my fav attap chee..

personally, i prefer cheng tng, so cooling, so refreshing n i like the fungus stuff they put in it...

Cool Ice-Kacang!

Most signature Singapore Dessert (To me at least :P)

Best with plenty of evaporated milk and cream corn or Mango Puree topping!

Strawberry puree seems to always be a little too sweet and with ice-cream seem too sinful... kekeke

Unhappy

The standard of the local desserts at most hawker centres/food courts are terrible. Most are franchised outlets and they all taste the same. Some desserts are so watered down.

I usually find the tau suan not sweet enough, the bubur hitam and bubur terigu are so starchy with powder coconut milk added in (yuck!), chendol with powdered coconut milk again (double yuck!), diluted bobo chacha, cheng tng that tastes like plain water, etc. They use the same syrup drink for cheng tng and sweet potato

However, I do like the ah balling from Old Airport Road hawker centre and orr nee from restaurants By the way, what is Gulab Jamum??

gulab jamun is a dessert of indian origin, shaped like a round dough and soaked in very thick syrup. u can find lots of those in little india and chances are, during depavali if u go visiting to ur indian fren's places. very popular among the indian community.
