No! Please don't do it. Even if you do not find yourself to be academically inclined, do you think that joining a gang is likely to rid you of all problems and confer stability and peace to your life? If it is brotherhood that you seek, I much rather you go take up a team sport or join a social activity that doesn't run the risk of going afoul of the law.
We've all been tempted at one point of time or another, but just because something is appealing now doesn't mean it'll perpetually remain as such. Please think this through carefully and do not engage in anything that you might end up regretting a few years down the road. Friends are found elsewhere too, including this forum.
