In terms of Vettel’s performance, he has out-qualified bourdais 3/2 so far this year. He reached Q1 in Australia in an awesome session. We all know how his racing has been so far. I think he may be over-driving at the moment but he definitley has alot of talent, just hope he gets into a good team and given a shot at a top-drive.

If you guys know RaigonRyker, you'd know he is simply a big F1 fan (car fan in general). I think he deserves it, tho I think the watch is too manly for him . He's a fan of the spot, not just some hypocrite who jumps on wikipedia to find info and facts to churn out some pseudo fan post.

I think it is unfair to simply evaluate Sebastian Vettel's performance simply by 2009's performance alone. His 2008 season performance was quite noteworthy. Just because he didnt come high in points in 2008 does not change the fact he drive exceptionally well in some of 2008's races. People only look at you when you do well, a true fan will look at the larger picture.

I feel Sebastian is over hyped due to his age. Alot of people talk about how his is the youngest driver to do this and that, but I feel that is simply distracting from the person himself. Regardless of his age, he is a driver of skill. Age is no replacement for experience, and for him to drive so well in only his 2nd season is quite commendable and indicative of his talent.

Car troubles have often plagued him, which I personally would have made a big difference in the championships if everything was working. His first 2 races was disastrous and having 3 retirements due to car problems didnt help either. If you look at his 2008 season, he usually finished in points (even a win) assuming his car didnt break down on him. So if his car hadn't failed him, I'm confident he would do well.

I think Sebastian is a highly skilled driver who does well consistently. If Jenson Button didnt have such a excellent start to the season, Sebastian would have more then a fighting chance at a championship win. Buttons lead was simply too large to catch up. (Buttons 66 vs Vettels 29 points by 7th race)

Is Sebastian Vettel a force to be reckoned with in the future? Of course. He has show consistent performance through the last 2 seasons. He is confirmed signing on with Red Bull for the 2010 season, and his future looks good.

But Formula 1 is unpredictable. Pre-2009 season, no one considered Button a force to be reckoned with. But after getting into a good team with a good car, we can see the results. And poor Lewis Hamilton didnt even put up a fight. Looking ahead, it will be interesting if McLaren can produce a car to get Lewis back in to the action, and Massa returning from his injury, 2010 will be a most interesting season.

Holy crap how did this post end up so long. tl;dr; version = Vettel is a talented and consistent driver. We can expect great things from him.

Default What I think of Sebastian Vette,

Sebastian Vettel has shown much improvement in his performance when he made his F1 debut on the Friday of the Turkish Grand Prix - assuming the role of 'third driver' from Robert Kubica. I have held Sebastian in great esteem. Furthermore, he is a really nice guy with no pretensions, just loads of talent and a real joy for racing. His performances won him compliments from his peers, including F1 racers Louis Hamilton and Fernado Alonso, though when the German media referred to him as "Baby Schumi", I think this compliment is worthy of his talent and great success in the long road ahead.

Default Casio Sebastian Vettel Contest

Sebastian Vettel has dramatically improved in terms of his racing performance and skills. Vettel made his F1 race debut in the 2007 U.S. Grand Prix at Indianapolis, subbing for BMW-Sauber's Robert Kubica after he was injured in a dramatic high-speed crash during the previous race in Canada. Vettel finished eighth at Indy to become, at 19, the youngest F1 points scorer in history. He then joined STR later that summer when the team fired American driver Scott Speed. No doubt he is definitely the best and most deserving F1 driver to win the champhionship as it requires great deal of guts, skills and calmness of steel to sit in the driver's seat and race around circuit after circuit.

Formula 1 is often a combination of drivers' luck and skills. So Sebastian Vettel has successfully demonstrated that he has both these two required combinations and he is definitely worthy of the F1 championship. Neeless to say, the redbull technology also helps in this area.
